Remote Control Cars

This past weekend, we had some friends over. One of the guys, James (the brother of my next door neighbor), brought a remote controlled car. This car was super fast and the kids really enjoyed watching it zoom all over the cul-de-sac.

Aven was so excited, she decided to share her My Little Pony remote controlled scooter. She ran inside as fast as she could, rummaged through the playroom until she could find the scooter, the pony AND the remote control. If you have seen our play room recently, you would know that this alone was a huge feat. She ran back outside and waited paitently for her turn to show off her toy.

Well, anytime James' car would stop, Aven would get so excited, jump up and then get disappointed when James fixed whatever problem caused the car to stop. She'd grab her scooter and move back to the sidelines; and again wait patiently.

When James' car finally ran out of gas, Aven got her moment of glory. She ran out with Calista, our neighbor, and set up the pony. She scooted it around and showed off all the pony scooter features. She finally decided that hers was way cooler because it honked and Travis' didn't.
